ExxonMobil celebrates the 50th anniversary of introducing the Mobil 1™ engine oil to the market. Throughout 2024, the company will showcase the 50-year history of the Mobil 1 brand through various initiatives that will include partnerships, involvement in motorsports, and exploration of virtual reality. Each planned event will highlight the brand’s legacy and its future.

Starting from the debut of the first fully synthetic motor oil and then expanding the Mobil 1 product line, this brand has been at the forefront of engine protection, providing unmatched quality and performance for five decades. Today, Mobil 1™ is an iconic brand of synthetic engine oils, actively engaging in innovation, collaboration, and responding to current customer needs.

To mark this exceptional anniversary, a short film summarizing the history of Mobil 1 has been created. For this project, ExxonMobil collaborated with David Coulthard, a former Formula 1 driver and McLaren team member, who takes viewers on an exciting journey through the evolution of the Mobil 1 brand, its key partnerships, and technological achievements.
