Challenges in Gearbox Operation
Extreme loads require advanced protection
Modern gearboxes operate under increasingly challenging conditions – higher engine powers, higher operating temperatures, and longer periods between oil changes. Both manual and automatic gearboxes, as well as drive axles, require specialized gear oils providing appropriate viscosity and protection.
Five Critical Problems in vehicle transmissions:
We match the optimal gear oil for your vehicle
Mineral Gear Oils
High-quality mineral-based gear oil for standard applications. Excellent protection in API GL-5 class for gearboxes and drive axles. Available in popular viscosity grades 80W-90 and 85W-140.
Synthetic Premium Oils
Fully synthetic gear oil providing the highest protection under extreme conditions. Class 75W-90 guarantees fluidity in winter and stability at high temperatures. Extended change intervals thanks to advanced technology.
Specialized ATF and CVT Fluids
Dedicated solutions for automatic gearboxes and continuously variable transmissions. Precisely developed formulas ensuring smooth gear changes, wear protection, and compatibility with the latest systems.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between API GL-4 and GL-5?
GL-5 oils contain more EP additives, providing better protection under high loads. GL-4 is recommended for synchronized gearboxes where too aggressive additives could damage synchronizers. GL-5 is mainly used in drive axles.
Can I mix synthetic and mineral gear oil?
Technically, oils are compatible, but mixing reduces the properties of synthetic oil. We recommend using one type of oil and a full replacement when switching to another type, especially in automatic gearboxes requiring specific ATF fluids.
How often to change the gearbox oil?
Intervals depend on the vehicle type and operating conditions. Typically every 60-100 thousand km for manual gearboxes, more frequently for commercial vehicles. Automatic gearboxes may require a change every 40-60 thousand km. Always check the manufacturer's recommendations.
How is 75W-90 oil different from 80W-90?
The first number (75W vs 80W) indicates fluidity at low temperatures - 75W is more fluid in winter. The second number (90) indicates viscosity at operating temperature. Synthetic gear oil 75W-90 provides better properties over a wide temperature range.
Why do modern gearboxes require special oils?
Modern automatic, CVT, and dual-clutch transmissions have precise tolerances and specific requirements. Incorrect oil may cause slipping, jerking, or accelerated wear. Use only oils meeting the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
What does "LS" mean in the description of gear oil?
LS (Limited Slip) indicates oil designed for limited-slip differential mechanisms. It contains special friction-modifying additives ensuring smooth operation of clutches in such mechanisms, used in sports and off-road vehicles.
